Birthday Parties, Corporate Outings and Group Events

Private Event Curling Programs

Curling dates back to the 1500s and is thought to be one of the oldest team sports played today. Our instructors have taught over 2,000 people how to curl and strive to make the experience entertaining and educational, and we will tailor the event to your group’s needs. Our club is a nonprofit organization, and our rink is Olympic sized, high quality curling ice – the only one of its kind in Georgia.

Last year we hosted fifty private events ranging in size from 12 to 30 curlers encompassing bachelor parties, birthday parties, youth/school groups, and full-blown competitive corporate team building events. Listed below are three different programs that fit most groups’ size and scheduling requirements, but if you require something different, contact us at [email protected] and we will customize an event to meet your needs.

What To Wear

We provide all the necessary curling equipment. The room is maintained at 45° F so we recommend dressing in layers, wearing rubber soled athletic shoes which help with traction on the ice, and hats and gloves are also a good idea.

Group Event Options

Small Group Semi-Private (Up to 12 Curlers, book here)

  • We reserve 1 sheet exclusively for your group during a regular Curling 101 class. We divide your group in half and assign one instructor to each half. Everyone is able to see both ends and watch as the whole group's skills develop.
  • Spend the first 45 minutes teaching the curling fundamentals as a group and then play a short game amongst yourselves
  • Cost: $35 per curler
  • You can book using this link
  • Contact us if you have any questions or to schedule your event

Teambuilding/Corporate

  • Monday – Friday, with start times from Noon to 4pm. Events last about 2.5 hours
  • Spend the first 45 minutes learning the fundamentals of curling and then play a series of short games in a mini-tournament format or simply play short games
  • Determine 4-person teams ahead of time, or wait until game-time to balance teams based on ability
  • We can accommodate up to 30 curlers
  • Cost: $60 per person, with a $600 minimum and an $800 maximum charge. A $200 deposit is required to reserve a date, and the remaining balance will be paid by invoice or credit card at the event
  • Contact us if you have any questions or to schedule your event

Tips for Planning Your Event

  • Team Uniforms: Many groups wear team uniforms, such as colored scarves, bandanas, or arm bands to signify specific teams
  • Game Play: Some corporate groups in the 2.5 hour program choose to play a series of short games in a mini-tournament format rather than simply short games and provide awards for gold, silver, and bronze finishes
  • What if some people in our group have curled before? For groups returning with experienced curlers, we modify the format slightly to allow these individuals to practice for about 30 minutes while the new curlers learn the basics. Then everyone will reconvene to play short games.
  • Where are we located? The curling facility is in Marietta, near the intersection of Johnson Ferry and Lower Roswell Road. For directions, type in “Peachtree Curling Association” to Google Maps or Waze. We are located next-door to the Altitude Trampoline Park (around back, behind the main entrance), and behind the Parkaire Shopping Center.
