Where are you located?
We are located in East Cobb, in the Parkaire Shopping center at the intersection of Johnson Ferry Road and Lower Roswell Road. We are directly behind the Altitude Trampoline Park. Our address is 4880 Lower Roswell Rd St 910 Marietta GA 30068
Can I stop by just to watch?
Yes! We have amateur curling leagues every night of the week (except Fridays) at 8pm and on the weekends at 10am. Spectators are more than welcome to attend and we have chairs along the ice. Bundle up as the facility is 40°.
How long is a typical curling season?
We typically curl from late September to end of April.
Learn to Curl Class
What type of clothes should I wear?
We recommend clean tennis or running shoes, stretchy pants like sweat pants and dressing in layers. Boots, heels, flats are not recommended.
What should I bring?
You may bring food and drinks for your group, as long as there are no glass bottles. You do not need ot bring any equipment, we have everything for you at the facility. Make sure to dress appropriately (above).
What should I expect?
We are on the ice for about an hour and a half and primarily focus on the fundamentals of throwing a stone. By the time the class is over, you will be able to throw a stone down the 138 foot curling sheet or we will invite you to come to another class on us. At the end of the 45 mins of instruction, we will split up into teams and play a short game. During this class we also cover curling terminology, rules, and scoring. You should expect to have great time!
What should I do if I need to cancel, reschedule or I accidently picked the wrong date?
Not a problem! Just send us an email at info@peachtreecurlingassociation and we will be happy to help. Note we are volunteer run, so responses can be delayed.
If I have a group, can we all stay together during the class?
We make every effort to keep groups together depending on the group size. Larger groups bigger than 10-12 may have to split up between two sheets (lanes).
Can I bring my child to a learn to curl class?
We can have children of ages 12 or more in our regular Learn to Curl classes. We do offer Juniors Curling Saturday mornings at 9am for children 9 - 21 years of age.
What if I am not flexible enough to get down to the slide position?
Curlers with cranky knees, sore backs, other mobility issues can enjoy the greatest game on ice using the stick, a delivery device that allows a player to play without using a traditional slide delivery, similar to shuffleboard. Let us know if it may be difficult to do a traditional slide delivery, and we can help get you all set. We are also an ADA facility and have taught many wheelchair curling sessions.
How to book a Learn to Curl Class?
All of our available learn to curl classes are available here on our website.
Private Events
Can I rent out the entire facility?
Yes! We offer birthday parties, corporate events and group outings. If your group is 12 people or less, we recommend having your group go to a learn to curl class as we can keep you all together. For groups of 12 or more we can offer weekday and weekend events. Dates are limited and first come first serve. Email [email protected] to book your event.
How big of a group can I bring?
We can accommodate groups up to about 30. If less than 12, we recommend attending one of our Learn to Curl classes.
Can I bring food or drinks?
You may bring food and drinks for your group, as long as there are no glass bottles.
Can I have my event catered?
We have had many events in the past have their food catered. We recommend many of the restaurants close to us, including McCrays Tavern and Johnny's Pizza. Our facility is about 40 degrees, so we recommend sternos or other methods to keep your food warm.
Can we split into teams?
Some corporate groups in the 2 hour program choose to play a series of short games in a mini-tournament format rather than simply short games and provide awards for gold, silver, and bronze finishes.
What if some people in our group have curled before?
For groups returning with experienced curlers, we modify the format slightly to allow these individuals to practice for about 30 minutes while the new curlers learn the basics. Then everyone will reconvene to play short games.
How do I book a private event?
Send us an email to our private event volunteers of the dates you are interested in and how large your group is.
